| Customer Reviews: a real workout October 3, 2009 Sandra Spector (Palo Alto, CA USA) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
This gives you a REAL workout. Of course it may be that I'm an adult doing it vs a kid, just having fun. Have to be careful 'cause stem (to handlebars) has some 'give' so feel a little nervous.
Unpleasant, difficult to balance, flimsy, dangerous July 24, 2009 L. Woods (Sunnyvale, CA) 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
My wife and I got one of these each. She now has a bloody knee. It takes a lot of effort and is more or less unpleasant to keep these things balanced. If the street you are going down is crowned, as ours are, then with every pump of the pedals one of the back wheels will lift off the ground, tending to throw you off. The handlebar column wobbles all over the place, even when you tighten it according to the directions.
When you get the thing going, you can go perhaps 10 mph. It is OK, but like a stepper machine, a lot of work.
It is not fun. Oh, and wear a helmet and knee and elbow pads. These things are hard to control and seem flimsy to me. I don't get the feeling that it will last long. Basically, I didn't like it.
